Training you to train your dog

We provide a complete 1-to-1 dog obedience training service. Each session lasts for 90 minutes and can be tailored to exactly what you want help with. We also offer a variety of options to suit your needs from double sessions lasting 3 hours for those that want faster results.  We also offer a cost effective package of 6 x 90 minute sessions. You can also book a whole days training or even consecutive whole days to give your training a turbo charged boost.  Just get in touch for full details.  When you feel you can continue training without our assistance and guidance you just stop taking sessions. We are based near Salisbury and serve across Wiltshire, Dorset and Hampshire.

 

 

 

How your dog training sessions will work

Typically 1-to-1 sessions are as follows: The first session will involve an assessment of your dog, where we generally ask a lot of questions. This is normally done at home. Once we know the dog's capabilities and what you are looking for, we commence with your dogs obedience training. At the end of the first session, we will leave you with some homework to do and then leave you to book in again when you are ready.

 

 

 

Training tailored to you and your dog

With Forbes Dog Training, every training session is different and we make sure that your relationship with your dog progresses, this enables you to train your dog effectively. With us, each session is geared towards giving you practical advice, guidance and support, imparting the secrets of handling and training dogs to respond to commands. With our dog obedience training the teaching begins with you, we give you all of the tools to train your dog for a lifetime!

 

Behaviour modification
This is a bespoke session to help you deal with unwanted actions and help you teach your dog the right behaviours.
Obedience training
If you want your dog to respond effectively, we will help you to train them in every aspect of their obedience.
Puppy training
This is a complete package that gives your puppy the best possible start to life, and is entirely tailored to your needs.
Boot camp
If you need to achieve fast results, this more intensive course is a great option for you and your dog.
Training walks
We provide this service as an alternative to a dog walker. We will come to you and train your dog for you. You are welcome to join us and we encourage it so you see how its done so you can replicate it yourself.
Pack walks
These group walks are monthly through winter and fortnightly through summer. They are free for puppies under 6 months and £15 per dog over 6 months. They are a great way to socialize puppies the right way and teach dogs how to behave in the presence of other dogs and people.
